1tspwitch hazel optional for oily or acne-prone skin
3dropsvitamin E oiloptional for extra nourishment
Instructions
Step 1: Brew the Hibiscus
Bring ½ cup of distilled water to a boil, then remove it from heat. Add the dried hibiscus petals to the hot water and allow them to steep for 15–20 minutes. The water should turn a rich crimson color as the petals release their powerful nutrients.
Step 2: Strain and Cool
Once steeped, strain the mixture into a bowl using a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer to remove the petals. Let the hibiscus infusion cool completely.
Step 3: Add Rosewater and Extras
To the cooled hibiscus infusion, add ¼ cup of rosewater. If your skin leans oily or acne-prone, add 1 teaspoon of witch hazel for extra astringent power. For dry or sensitive skin, include 3 drops of vitamin E oil to boost hydration and healing.
Step 4: Bottle It Up
Use a funnel to pour the finished toner into a sterilized spray bottle or glass jar. Store it in the refrigerator and use within 1–2 weeks for best results. Shake before each use to remix the ingredients.
